I'm a 3D artist / compositor and I like putting FFXIV blorbos in a blender*. If you want I can put your blorbo in a blender too! And also nuke them!**

  1. You request the commission and provide character files + refs

  3. I provide a (very) rough layout / sketch image for you to approve

  4. You approve and pay for the commission

  5. I work for a while

  6. I provide a close-to-done render for you to approve. Revisions can happen here

  7. I do the final touches and send you all agreed-upon files :D

CHARACTER DATA

To faithfully recreate your character I need some data from you!
Here are the different methods you could use:

  1. A Meddle export.
    This is by far the method that requires the least amount of work if you're already using XIVLauncher, and gives the best results.
    Meddle is a Dalamud plugin which lets you easily export your character to files that can be loaded into 3D software.
    After installing it, open its main window with /meddle and near the top of the "Character" tab you should see "Export All Models With Attaches".
    Click that, add ".mtrl" under the "Extra Cache Files" option, make sure "Remove unused character features" is checked, then click Export!
    ZIP that folder or upload it to a file sharing service, then send it to me!

  2. A .chara file and any mods affecting your character.
    A .chara file is essentially your character customization in a file, and can be generated easily using tools like Anamnesis. You'd also need to provide any mods you use on your character, and notes about which settings those mods use and the order they are loaded in.
    For vanilla characters, this is probably the easiest option. Anamnesis is free and runs outside of the game. Run it, click "Export" on your character, and send me that file.

  3. A list of character customization.
    This would just be writing down what customizations your character uses such as eye, hair and skin color, gear used, the dyes on that gear, etc.
    If you don't know any of these things and can't figure it out, send screenshots instead and I'll try to figure it out based on that. But understand that it might not be 100% accurate then.

"Can I send a .mcdf file?"
Unfortunately not, I can't export any data from that, it's designed to be GPose only :(
